Staff Profile:

Babatunde Allen Bakare holds a Ph.D. in drama and theatre studies at Stellenbosch University, South Africa (2018), an M.Phil. in Ibsen studies at The University of Oslo, Norway (2008) and bachelor degree in dramatic arts from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria (2003), a certification of participation in British and Irish literature at The University of Edinburgh, Scotland in 2005 and was producer and scriptwriter at African Independent Television. As a lecturer, he has taught at Nasarawa State University and Bowen University both in Nigeria. He also taught as an assistant professor of English and literature at American University of Nigeria. Currently, he is a lecturer in the Department of Dramatic Arts, Obafemi Awolowo University. His research focuses on Ibsen drama, African drama and theatre and African popular culture.
